CPOSC 2010 Call for Participation

The Central PA Open Source Conference (CPOSC) is a small, low-cost, one-day conference about all things Open Source. This year’s conference will be our third annual event, and will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Harrisburg University.

The Call for Participation (CFP) is now open, so we are looking for interesting speakers and talks. If you are interested in speaking at this year’s conference, check out the Speaker FAQ and submit a proposal. Can’t decide on a topic? No problem! Feel free to submit more than one.

The only requirements are a good understanding of your topic and some enthusiasm! :) The deadline to submit talk proposals is Friday, July 9, 2010.

CPOSC 2009 is just 25 days away… October 17. It’ll be a day full of open source goodness, including three conference tracks and over twenty speakers.

If you register for the conference by tomorrow (Wednesday, 9/23) we’ll make sure you get a cool, official CPOSC 2009 t-shirt!

CPOSC 2009 early access

We’re gearing up for this year’s Central PA Open Source Conference (CPOSC), which will be held on Saturday, October 17th at Harrisburg University. Tickets include include access to all three tracks including 21 awesome speakers, breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack break… and official CPOSC 2009 t-shirts for those who register by September 22!

The number of tickets available is limited based on the size of our venue, and last year tickets were sold out before the conference. So before the big announcements are made next week, we’re giving CPLUG members and friends a chance to register right now!

CPOSC is looking for sponsors!

The Central PA Open Source Conference (CPOSC) is a one-day technical conference for open source users and developers. Presentations and sessions cover all aspects of open source, with talks ranging from novice to expert skill levels.

This year?s conference will be held at Harrisburg University in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 17, 2009 and is expected to have 150 attendees.

Adobe Flex 3 book author speaking locally

In case this is of interest to anyone here, Joey Lott, the author of the book Adobe Flex 3, will be speaking just up the street from where CPLUG meets. Details for the event can be found at CPAUG.

Adobe released the Flex 3 SDK under the open source Mozilla Public License.

CPOSC 2008 Call for Participation

CPOSC, the Central PA Open Source Conference, is a one-day, multi-track, low-cost conference about all things open source: software, programming, operating systems, community and more. It will take place on Sunday, October 19th at the ITT Tech campus in Harrisburg, PA.

We have started the Call for Participation (CFP) and are currently looking for interesting talks and presentations. If you’ve given a talk at CPLUG before, or if you’ve got a cool topic to talk about, please don’t be shy! We’d love to hear your idea!
