CPOSC 2010 Call for Participation

The Central PA Open Source Conference (CPOSC) is a small, low-cost, one-day conference about all things Open Source. This year’s conference will be our third annual event, and will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Harrisburg University.

The Call for Participation (CFP) is now open, so we are looking for interesting speakers and talks. If you are interested in speaking at this year’s conference, check out the Speaker FAQ and submit a proposal. Can’t decide on a topic? No problem! Feel free to submit more than one.

The only requirements are a good understanding of your topic and some enthusiasm! :) The deadline to submit talk proposals is Friday, July 9, 2010.

What’s new in WordPress 3.0

The next CPLUG meeting will be Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 6:30 PM.

Ryan Duff (@ryancduff) will be talking about what’s new and awesome in the upcoming WordPress 3.0 release. Whether you are new to WordPress or an expert, there should be some interesting bits for everyone.

See you then!

RAID tonight (and free pizza too)

Doug will be doing a talk on RAID at tonight’s meeting (ITT @ 6:30 PM). Mostly about software RAID, but he’ll be talking about when hardware RAID is appropriate as well. You can check out a preview of his slides here: PDF or ODP.

CTI Networks / PA.net is graciously paying for the pizza for tonight’s meeting.

See you tonight!
